Bones of the Lower Limb:

  • The lower limb consists of the

  1. thigh (femur), 
  2. leg (tibia and fibula), 
  3. ankle (tarsals), 
  4. foot (metatarsals and phalanges), and 
  5. associated joints (hip, knee, ankle, and toes).

  • The pelvic girdle consists of the hip bones (ilium, ischium, and pubis), 
which articulate with the sacrum to form the pelvis, providing support and stability to the lower limbs.
