Welcome to our academic website.
Today I'm going to share with you the Understanding Anatomy and Physiology lecture that will help you be successful in your exams such as in Neet UG, DLMT, and more competitive exams. This is going to be a long and detailed lecture about Understanding Anatomy and Physiology and branches of anatomy and physiology.
Info
🍵Grab a warm cup of coffee and begin reading.
In this lecture, we will discuss the branches of anatomy and physiology and their critical role in solving the biological dark secrets of humans.

So, why is this lecture important on exam point of view? Well, did you know! There are about many lakhs students will appear for the exams in India and from abroad every year ?
Yes, that’s a lot of competition! But don't worry, We are here to help you successful in your exam. So we wish you to successful in exams, in this website post all your doubts and problems are solved.
Anatomy and Physiology Defined:
Anatomy is the study of the structure and organisation of living organisms and their parts, while physiology is the study of the functions and processes of these organisms. Together, anatomy and physiology provide a comprehensive understanding of how the human body is structured and how it functions to maintain life.
Branches of Anatomy:
Gross Anatomy :
Gross anatomy, also known as macroscopic anatomy, focuses on the study of structures that can be seen with the naked eye. This includes organs, tissues, and organ systems. Gross anatomy can be further divided into:
Systemic Anatomy :
Systemic anatomy examines the structures of the body based on their relation to the various organ systems, such as the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, and nervous system.
Regional Anatomy :
Regional anatomy studies the structures of the body based on specific regions or areas, such as the head and neck, thorax, abdomen, and limbs.
Surface Anatomy :
Surface anatomy involves the study of the external features of the body and their relation to deeper structures, aiding in clinical examination and diagnosis.
Microscopic Anatomy :
Microscopic anatomy, also known as histology, involves the study of structures that are too small to be seen with the naked eye. This includes cells, tissues, and cellular components. Microscopic anatomy provides insights into the cellular organisation and function of tissues and organs.
Developmental Anatomy :
Developmental anatomy examines the structural changes that occur throughout the lifespan of an organism, from embryonic development to adulthood. This branch of anatomy investigates how organisms grow, develop, and differentiate from a single cell into complex multicellular organisms.
Branches of Physiology:
Cell Physiology :
Cell physiology focuses on the study of the functions and processes of cells, including cell metabolism, membrane transport, and cell signalling. Understanding cell physiology is essential for unravelling the mechanisms underlying cellular functions and their contribution to overall bodily functions.
Organ Physiology :
Organ physiology examines the functions and processes of specific organs within the body, such as the heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver. This branch of physiology explores how organs carry out their specialised functions and maintain homeostasis within the body.
System Physiology :
System physiology studies the integrated functions of organ systems within the body, such as the nervous system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, digestive system, and endocrine system. System physiology investigates how these systems work together to regulate bodily functions and maintain internal balance.
Pathophysiology :
Pathophysiology explores the functional changes that occur in the body as a result of disease, injury, or abnormal conditions. This branch of physiology investigates the mechanisms underlying the development of diseases and disorders, providing insights into their diagnosis, treatment, and management.
